Treya and Upton, the two of you were headed back to the resort. Keisho, you're in your room. You still have a few hours before your date as the sun hovers in the mid-afternoon.

There are more people on the sidewalks now then before the two of you entered the hospital.

Upton will head back to his room and try to render the devise there more stable somehow

Keisho says, "Treya." She calls out as she sees Treya enter the lobby."

Treya glances at her. "What?"

Keisho says, "I wanted to tell you that ummm I was a bit short when I got my clothes... so the lady charged it here to you. I will pay you back I promise.""

Treya shrugs. "It's fine as long as it's under 500 creds."

Keisho says, "Oh alright its only a hundred and a little bit... I should have more money when Upton gives me whatever he didnt spend on Elsa.""

That would have resulted in what probably would have been your vaporization... along with the two neighboring rooms. As you work slowly, you think you've stabilized the device, but it might not be too smart to rely on it in a crisis... these sorts of things come back and bite you sometimes.'

Treya turns and dashes out at her full speed, looking a bit panicy.

Keisho says, "Alright." Blinks... pondering Treya. She glances around to see if something is wrong?"

From afar, Upton grins in triumpth and wonder what the power output of this devise is.

Keisho looks about, his spider sense sort of tickled by Treya's quick reaction and his own recent experiences on the run.

You paged Upton with 'From what you can tell, it's too small to power anything even as large as the Elsa... but a small, one man shuttle, that you might be able to propel for short (in terms of space anyway) distances.'

Treya, the docks are not far at all at your top speed, and you reach the Elsa fairly quickly.

From afar, Upton starts drawing up skematics for this devises and adds it to his collection

Treya hustles inside.

Keisho Having time to kill begins walking down the dock after Treya.

Elsa says "Welcome, Treya." As you enter. Things in the bridge seem allright. Everything is normal as far as you can tell..

From afar, Upton puts a note in it the sketmatic about that and will worry about when its runs out

Keisho, you lag rather behind Treya at the moment.

Treya heads down toward the brig cautiously.

Keisho Continues at a more sedate pace realizing that in the heels she would likely break a damn ankle.

It's all fairly quiet until you hear a mad cackling from deep in the engine-room.

Treya pales a bit and dashes in there.

Inside the engine-room things look a bit different, power conduits tapped with lines toward several sets of what look to be work benches, a few hooks here and there. Renald stands in the middle of this area, hunced over a desk. "I've done it! I've finished my creation!"

"I've combined a toaster and an oven! I call it a... uh.. well... a toaster-oven!" He displays his invention proudly.

Treya steps inside...standing right behind him. "I hope it's a "clean up the captains engine room within the time it takes her to throttle me" device."

He jerks away a little. "Uh, no, but it will cook a good hunk of meat."

Treya says, "I see...do you suppose a "clean up the captains engine room within the time it takes her to throttle me" device could be created?"

"Um, theoretically, yes, but you do look like you could throttle me quite efficiently in a very, very short amount of time."

Treya nods. "This is true, or kill you in a wide variety of other ways, with varying degress of speed. So...what exactly have you done to my engine room, and explain to me why we don't find out the fastest hmm?"

From afar, Upton finishes up drawing up plans and skematics and stuff and labels it emergancy plasma power cell.

"Well, um, you did ask me to build some things, and you kind of left me here without any direction after you took Keisho... so I waited for about 29 hours, and you still didn't show up." He flicks his helmet. "So I just kind of made a bit of a lab here, hooked a couple lines to siphon minimal power from the warp-drive there, enough to do stuff with, but not enough to effect speed or anything, and I uh, kinda got inspired by the kitchen, so..."

Treya says, "Elsa, wake up please."

You paged Upton with 'The device should be quite a bit less sensitive now, so there's no need to cushion it too much from impact. Just letting it get tossed around too much still wouldn't be smart though.'

"Good morning, Treya." Many of Elsa's priorly inactive sub-systems come to life, though it is barely audible.

Upton pages: will bubble wraps it int he breifcase to be safe.

Treya says, "Run a systems check for any discrepencies please."

Elsa pauses for a second before she pipes up. "No anomalies detected. All systems optimal."

Treya swings around to glare at him again. "Right...Elsa, we have a guest on board, register please."

"Please state your name." "Uh. I am Renald, Genius-boy! I suppose." "Acknowledged, Mr. Genius-boy. Access level, Treya?"

Treya frowns a bit. "Set as basic passenger for now."

"Acknowledged. Renald Genius-boy registered as passenger."

Treya says, "We had an agreement which I plan to honor. However if you tamper with Elsa again without permission, she will either shoot you, or alert ME to come and shoot you. Clear?"

Keisho, you finally manage to make it back to the Elsa at this point. Long distances in those shoes is slow! Not to mention a bit painful.

Keisho Enters the ship. "Hi Elsa. How are you today? Is Treya alright?"

"Uh, yeah, right. There's no need, I just needed a power source, uh. Yeah."

Keisho, Elsa beeps a couple of times. There is a pause, and then the voice states "Please place your hand on the palm-reader."

Treya says, "Uh huh...just being clear...before I'm off again...can your probability thing uh...turn the kid back into a guy?"

"Probab-ili wha? Oh, you mean the genetic reshuffler?"

Treya says, "Yeah that was it."

Keisho puts her hand to the door. "Alright Elsa."

"Well. Um. Hmm. I guess so. Then again, it wasn't exactly what I had in mind. You know how when you shuffle cards too much and they get all broken in and kinda bent instead of all stiff and new? I wonder if that happens with genes?"

Treya says, "I see, test it for me will you? And not on any of my crew."

<OOC> Keisho says, "too bad you dont have a pet cat lol"

<OOC> Upton wipes his forehead.

Elsa beeps again. "Acknowledged. Crew-entry error corrected and truncated. Welcome aboard Ms. Keisho, I will alert Treya to your presence."

Keisho says, "Thank you Elsa. Your a good friend." smiles and enters the ship."

Elsa beeps in the engine room. "Ms. Keisho has boarded the ship. Crew-entry error for Ms. Keisho has been corrected and truncated."

Treya says, "Right...thanks Elsa, tell her I'll be up in a moment."

Elsa beeps in the bridge. "Treya will be with you in a moment. May I help you in the meantime?"

Upton pages: decides to head to the casino with his 100 or so reaming credits and do some gambling

Renald flicks his helmet. "Huh. Not exactly sure what to test THAT on. Maybe I could make a genetic card-deck..."

Keisho says, "So Treya is ok? I was worried about her. Was there anyway you can help me? That I'm unaware?""

Treya nods and makes her way back up.

You paged Upton with 'The casinos are beginning to get into the swing of things at this time, as the sun move lower in the sky. There are many to choose from.'

Treya enters the bridge at this time, Keisho.

From afar, Upton goes for the poker tables and tries to win some money

Keisho says, "Its in a couple of hours." She makes a face. "I still feel funny about it. But thats ok a couple days here and I will probably never see him again.""

Treya says, "Well have fun."

From afar, Upton gambles some more

Treya says, "Don't let him get you alone in his room."

The next hand is very nice to you, and you rack in 80 credits... and then your communicator buzzes.

Keisho Blinks. "Umm good plan."

Keisho says, "Alright See you later... Mom...""

Upton collects his winning and step away to answer it.

Treya says, "Don't call me that."

Keisho "Bye Elsa!" she heads on out off toward the resort... becoming a bit more practiced with every step.

Treya sighs.

<OOC> Keisho says, "Im your monster! muahahaaa"

"Figures. Leave the table after a big win. Pah." One of the other players sneers a bit, obviously upset with his loss as you answer your call. The voice on the other end says. "Rogan?"

Upton says, "Yes, this is Rogan."

<OOC> Keisho says, "for prematurly graying hair?"

The voice on the other end says "L-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-LAZER TEETH!" in a loud voice. He continues "I believe you owe us a favor, yeah? Ready to pay up?

Upton says, "Sure I got time. When do ya need me?"

"That would be now. You head into our territory, Paulie'll fetch you, yeah?"

Upton says, "Sure thing, I just need to make a short stop to pick up my tools"

Upton picks up his tools ont he way there and heads to there territory

Keisho, the sun is setting as you finally make it back to the resort.. your feet hurt. It is only now that you realize you could have taken the shoes OFF for your long walk.

Upton, you pass by Keisho, who is standing just outside the lobby this time, on your way in and on your way out.

Upton says to her in passing, "Have a nice date

Keisho says, "Umm ok bye." blushes."

Upton, you find the Lazer Teeth territory rather quickly, seeing the gang-markers in the clouds above you. You also remember to look down in case of any of those good old fashioned snare-traps. You turn a corner and nearly run into a large, tall bald-man.

Upton says, "Ooops, I'm mighty sorry. You Paulie?"

"Dat'd be me." He turns and starts walking. "To bad I was told ta play nice t'day, yer certinly a looka'."

Keisho, your ride pulls up.

Upton follows, "Right, thansk I think...

Keisho walks out toward the car. "Hi"

Treya heads to the hospitol to visit her wounded buddy.

Kent turns toward you. "Hi-yiyi...hu..humin..hum."

Keisho giggles and get in the car. "How are you?"

Upton has reconnected.

Paulie, obviously not the same as the one who served you at the restaraunt, leads you through the twists and turns of the alleys, which look less and less well maintaned the further you go. Eventually, you seem to be walking through what's almost a large scrap-yard.

"I'm... I'm good. Yeah. Uh. Wow. You look amazing."

Keisho Blushes. "You look nice too."

Treya, you can't be sure exactly which hospital they put Lucian in, but it's more then likely the most expensive one, located on the edge of the ritzy-residential district.

Treya is in the mood for walking...so walks.

Upton looks around in case soemthing catches his eye

"I, um maybe, but.. wow. You look like a model... you look 25!"

Upton, there's plenty of interesting junk around here actually, but Paulie sets a pace that doesn't allow you to stop and play with anything...

Keisho giggles. "I'm only seventeen stop exagerating."

Upton follows along

"No, I... " he turns to the wheel, looks at it for a second then turns back, a little more composed. "Uh, did.. did you wanna go anywhere in particular?"

Treya, the hospital looms into view. It's rather large, at least five floors.

Keisho says, "Whatever you have planned would be wonderful I'm sure."

Upton, you start to hear noises. It only takes you a minute to recognize the sounds of screams and weapons fire.

Treya heads inside to the main desk.

Upton says, "Ya know I'm just a techie right?"

"The main desk is headed by a male, behind a thick glass window, probably bullet proof. He looks up at you. "Yes, you need something?"

Treya says, "Yeah I'm here to visit Lucian insert last name."

"Oh yeah, we know. Dat's all we need ya fo', quick in and out thing. Well, long as ya don't get blowed up. Then ya might be hangin' out fo' awhile. Hehe."

Upton says, "Right. Very well"

Keisho, Kent breathes a deep breath. "O.. okay. I kinda thought we could go, uh, eat again. At another place this time, uh, The Glen it's called. Good stuff, they do some Rygal system dishes, I thought it might be nice."

The man behind the glass frowns at you Treya. "I'm afraid unless you can prove a relation to the patient that I ca..." at that point Paulie comes into the lobby and says "Treya, hey! Don't listen to that bozo, you come to see Lucian right?"

<OOC> GDMSkullrama says, "Now I get to be confusing, with two Paulies. Hah."

Treya says, "Yeah, how"

Treya says, "Yeah, how's he doin?"

Keisho says, "That would be fine. I've never eatten any rygal system food I don't think.?"

Upton, as you get closer you begin to see what is obviously a gang-war. There's alot of screaming, explosions and many MANY bullets. Your eyes are drawn to a large device near the middle of the Lazer-Teeth territory. "See dat?" Paulie points. "Dat's dere is a gatling gun, plazma, got scrapped cuz it ova' heated too fast. It still got powa an' stuff, but it's been broke a long time now. You fix it, we could do some major damage to those goons, see?"

Upton says, "Ooooooh, will do."

"Oh he's good, he's good, just follow me down the hall. Uh, you're gonna have to give me your guns before I let you inside. No hard feelings, right?"

Treya says, "I know the rules."

Treya hands them over.

Upton heads over to the gun and looks at it

He takes them, then gives you the eye. "Ya know, Treya, we've been through this game before. Don't make me frisk you."

Treya says, "And YOU know that's all of them, don't make me send you to the room next door."

Upton, there are bullets all over. You're in more then a bit of danger out here, so it would be best not to stay any longer then you have to. Roll for your diagonosis.

Kent coughs. "Yeah, it's a little exotic, but it's not too out there." His vehicle starts moving.

<OOC> Upton says, "Which roll?"

Upton quickly uses his diagnostic scanner to determine what's wrong.

Paulie raises an eyebrow. "Right. Because you DON'T have any grenades which AREN'T going to fall out of your PANTS of all things, and WON'T cause 90 percent of the room to draw guns this time, right?"

Keisho says, "Where are you off to after your stay here?"

Treya says, "You said guns, not grenades."

Treya hands them over.

<OOC> Keisho says, "yea treya if you had been wearing a skirt that would have been much better place for them to fall out of."

Paulie presses his hand into his forehead and mutters a curse in another language. He then proceeds to wait as you pull grenades out of your clothes. Many grenades. "Cripes, I'm gonna need a freakin sack here."

Treya says, "Knives too?"

"Lucian's gonna die of old age before we get done with this..." he shakes his head. "Just go, and make sure nothing threatening peeks out, okay? We don't need any gunfire in here."

Treya shrugs and heads inside.

Most of the problem, Upton, seems to lie in the fact that the impact absorbtion system is very very busted, causing the fail-safe mechanisms to lock the rest of the device down. Apart from some minor corrosion, that's all you can deduce.

Upton gets to work on it it(Mind+ Mechanics?)

You'll need to find some replacement parts first, you can't make repairs with your bare-hands and air molecules. Gimme a mind roll to track those down.

Upton scrounges around cover looking for the material needed

Keisho, the two of you park in the lot of a medium-sized restaurant, the front of which proclaims it to be 'The Glen'. It's not exactly a fancy restaraunt, not at all compared to SOME of the places around here, but it's a bit nicer then the diner the two of you went to before.

Treya, the room has several people in it, mostly men and all dressed rather well, sitting by Lucian who is in a rather nice bed with several devices hooked up to him. He's sleeping at the moment. Many of the men brought flowers.

Treya sighs. "Lazy old man."

Upton, you manage to scrounge parts that you think will do.. at least temporarily.

GDMSkullrama rolls 2d6 and gets 2 and 5.

Another bullet misses you as you haul your load to the large device.

Keisho says, "This place looks nice.""

Upton stays low and rushes back to the gun emplacement with the parts

"Yeah, it's pretty good." As you enter a waiter leads you to your seats. "So, what've you been doing?"

Keisho says, "Hanging out at the resort with mom.." She giggles. "Shes really not my mom but she takes care of me like one so I call her that.""

Treya, one of the men looks at you and stands up. "You! You were supposed to protect him, huh? Good fucking job, you lousy...!" Another man stands and grabs him. "Sam, shuttup and sit down."

"She was supposed to protect him from that hit!" "And he ain't dead, is he? Now shuttup."

Treya says, "I didn't see you there."

Kent nods. "Yeah, that's what you told me. Things have been going pretty good then?"

Keisho says, "Yes its been nice just relaxing.""

Upton pulls out his multi tool and gets to work.

Upton, you make it back. You'll have to uninstall the broken shock-absorption system first, slap your jury-rigged repairs on it and then re-install it. I'll need three seperate mechanics rolls.

<OOC> Keisho says, "I still have my silver star thing on my cheek?"

<OOC> Upton says, "Mind+Mechnachics?"

Keisho says, "What have you been up to."

"I was takin' care of the buisness! I was makin' sure things didn't fall apart! What good would it be if Lucian came back an his buisness is gone, huh? What...?" The other man glares very harshly. "Sam, I told you twice now to shut your damn yap. You do not yell at the bed of a wounded man, and if you continue to show this kind of disrespect to Lucian I will see to it that you will regret it."

Treya says, "Yeah Sam."

You take out the system, a few rusted bolts making the proccess a bit of a hassle. It is very messed up, and this thing has obviously seen little to no maintenence in a long time.

Sam open his mouth again, shuts it, opens it again, then slams himself back into his chair.

Upton starts replacing parts.

Treya says, "Well I came by to hassle him but if he's sleeping I'll try again later."

Kent shrugs. "Ah, I was just playing games lately really. The parents are so busy with all their science stuff, we don't really hang out much."

Upton rolls 2d6 and gets 5 and 1.

Upton, the repairs go rather well, you think, but then you get winged in the hip with a stray. It doesn't penetrate, and the damage will probably heal soon, but it sure as hell hurts. 5 HP.

Upton points it up into the sky and give its a test burst.

"Yeah, whenever they get assigned." Kent shrugs. "Mostly I just check out the local area while they do their.. science thing. I take classes over the network."

Upton... you forgot to reinstall the device.

Upton reinstalls the devise.

The device is rather stubborn with you... your repairs changed the dimensions a bit, and it doesn't exactly want to fit back into it's space. Making a few cuts allows it to fit back in without depleting the fuction.. you think.

Keisho says, "Thats cool I haven't been to class for a while... been traveling with Mom.""

The console lights up, though it is covered in dust.

Upton checks its out one last time then tests it.

The man who threatened Sam earlier nods at you, Treya. "That would be appreciated."

Treya says, "Gimme a call when he's up will ya?"

"Well it's not that hard to sign up for some net classes... what grade did you stop at?"

"Sure." The man goes back to talking with the others around him in low tones.

Keisho says, "Oh middle of my junior year. I will have to do that.""

Treya retrieves her sack o' armaments from Paulie and makes her way back to her hotel room.

<OOC> Treya says, "brb, gonna make a snack"

Upton, the device makes a loud noise, the sound unique to a plasma discharge, and the battle field is suddenly very quiet. The bullets stop. One of the Lazer-Teeth then pushes aside. "Out of the way!" He says, as he takes the controls and begins firing into the other side of the battle-field. He let's loose a wild cackle as he rips large, ragged holes in the opposing forces, who begin to retreat very quickly, breaking into a panic.

<OOC> Keisho says, "snacks are good."

Upton ducks and takes cover.

<OOC> Keisho says, "way to go upton you just helped the intergalatic ms13 ;)"

The bullets start again, but none of them are headed in your direction anymore.

Upton looks around for a Lazertooth he knows.

Keisho, the menu has a number of interesting, and tasty-looking dishes.

Upton, after awhile you spot Jackie, firing a gunrather uselessly at the retreating enemy.

Keisho gazes at the menu "Anything you suggest?"

Upton says, "Will do, niow which way is the quickest safest ways out?"

Kent looks up from the menu. "Well, the Keblan shrimp is pretty good. A little bit spicy, so if that's not your thing..."

Keisho "Spicy sounds good." She smiles at kent.

"Right back the way you came, hon. I'll be lookin forward to a somewhat more spirited repeat of that kiss." He begins walking forward after the retreating opponents. Harry, still at the gun, screams "L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-LAZER-TEETH!" At the top of his lungs, still firing away.

Upton says, "Perchance later. See ya."

Upton heads out.

Kent nods. "Allright." The waiter comes and takes your orders. "For the lady?"

Keisho says, "Oh I will have the shrimp thank you.""

"Keblan, or Porian?"

Keisho says, "oh the keblan Please.""

Upton looks but not touches

Lots of interesting stuff around here, but gang members are usually pretty touchy about their territory and what's in it. Your discretion is most likely the wisest course of action.

Treya, Paulie nods to you as you leave the room and hands you back your weapons. Which takes a bit of time.

Upton looks but not touches as he heads out of the territory and back to the hotel

Kent shakes his head. "No need to thank me, you're really fun to go out with. Too bad you're leaving soon, but if you weren't I would be anyway."

Keisho smiles "Its fun hanging out with you too. Yea we are going in a couple of days I think."

Upton, it's a bit of a hoof all the way back to the resort hotel, but you make it. You hip stings something awful by this time, you might wanna keep that from getting infected.

Keisho says, "Its been nice not to have to run around all the time."

Upton will go to this room, take a shower and patch out his hip

"Yeah?

Kent pauses. "Yeah, uh... my dates with you, they're probably.. well, no, definately... the best dates I've ever had. Heh.. um.. well, not to... yeah."

Keisho Smiles at Kent. "Your really nice. I'm sure you will have nice dates after these too."

He smiles and laughs awkwardly.

First aid for a clean grazing wound such as you have, as opposed to an actual bullet loding into you, is a rather simple affair, and you finish in short order. It'll heal within a couple of days... though you'll have alot more scars after encountering Treya then you did before.
