Burning fire, flickering flames,

Embers crackle,

Purgatory,

I am the Phoenix burning,

Burning for weeks on end,

Struggling for my rebirth,

To claim myself and face the sweet harsh world,

Burning fire, flickering flame,

Coal’s glow,

Crucible,

My emotion heat,

Despair’s black flame,

Depression bleak march,

I face, but do not do what I need,

Sands of time quicken,

Burning fire, flickering flames,

Stone’s smoldering,

Life,

The light at the end of the tunnel which is not a train,

Hope the brightest flame,

Her beauty enchants me,

Her light guides me,

Yet I stuggle,

I am Phoenix,

On the cusp of rebirth.
